3. Who are the Rivercity Rippers?
In a cluttered world of Car Clubs, Car Meets, Car friends & Car Shows, RCR felt the need to bring it all together in one place and do it with a purpose. The purpose is to fuel our passion while uniting in our efforts and resources to bring awareness and donations to our favorite charities. We host multiple events including Cars in the Commonwealth (previously Cars in the Commons) which showcases the cars from our club and many other private collections. This community event is the highlight of our year but the RCR "Rippers" crew can be found each month at one event or another...or just doing what we love best: DRIVING and talking cars.
4. What is Cars in the Commonwealth?
Mark your calendars for July 26, 2025. Cars in the Commonwealth is the new name of your old favorite: Cars in the Commons. CITC is an annual celebration for car enthusiasts of all ages. Located in a new location (to be announced soon), we bring in just under 400 cars, 30+ sponsors and vendors, food, drinks, and music. We have a little bit of everything for everyone: Exotics, German, American, Vintage, Classic, JDM, etc but the heart of this event is CHARITY. We have a passion for cars and want to share our passion with purpose. The 2024 event brought over $43,000 to three charities: Norton Children's Hospital Foundation, The First Car Project, & Louisville Outreach for the Unsheltered.
5. What is RAD Revival?
A celebration of everything RAD from the 80's and 90s! Cars, Culture, Candy, Music and More! Register your 1980-1999 vehicle for display. FREE ADMISSION for spectators!! Driver Registration includes a showcase spot for your vehicle and 2024 Custom RAD Revival HAT (Yesssss). We will have new event activations (music, cocktails, lights) the full length of the street in 2024! We look forward to our expanded showcase and can't wait to see you in October for a RAD weekend! NOTE - we will be checking this ticket at entry. You will receive your hat AT CHECK IN.
What to expect:
3-5pm - Show car Arrival!
5pm--Trunk or Treat: bring candy for the kiddos!! HUGE CANDY GIVE AWAY!
Costume contests $500 prize for best costume
BMX performances & Meet/Greet options
Awards for the Best Costume, Best 80's vehicle, & Best 90's vehicle!!!
Car Registration is OPEN! The first 150 registered cars will receive a RAD Revival hat and all drivers get access to events on both Friday and Saturday night at Paristown. Friday night concert is JD Shelburne! Top Tier performing Saturday night!
